Joined Quorn: 2021/22

Bio: After 63 appearances over the previous two seasons for Quorn, Marzano stepped up to Step Four towards the end of the 2022/23 season, joining Carlton Town as the Millers looked to avoid relegation.
Born and raised in Nottingham, Charlie started playing grassroots football as a youngster with his friends, eventually signing for Notts County at the age of nine. Joining Ilkeston Town at 18, Charlie, who can play right back or in midfield, would also go on to represent local side Eastwood, before joining Quorn.
No stranger to big occasions, Charlie’s career highlights include a call up to the England Futsal squad at Under 19 level, as well as an FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round tie against Hartlepool United in 2020. Due to Covid restrictions at the time, only 400 were in attendance at the New Manor Ground when Pools visited Ilkeston in the historic cup competition.
The BBC cameras were in attendance as the final qualifying round tie enjoyed live coverage. Ilkeston had already defeated Shepshed Dynamo, Coventry Sphinx, Hanley Town and Alvechurch but the National League side proved too strong as they ran out 6-0 winners on the day.
The England Futsal call came on the back of a series of trials at St. George’s Park. Marzano was then selected for the Midlands team, playing an in house tournament against the North and South. However, Charlie gave up Futsal, to concentrate on the first team variety, before he earned a cap.
