PREVIEW | Loughborough Dynamo (H)
Venue: Farley Way Stadium, Farley Way, Quorn LE12 8RB
Date & Time: Saturday 14th of October 2023 (KO 15:00)
Quorn will be looking to maintain their 100% record at home in the league on Saturday, when they welcome, nearest neighbours, Loughborough Dynamo to the Farley Way Stadium.
Quorn’s Form:
After a remarkable September, Quorn got October off to a flier with a 2-0 win at home to step three AFC Telford United. Prior to that, the Reds secured four wins and a draw, scoring 20 and conceding eight, throughout an unbeaten September. Victories came at home in the league versus Walsall Wood (3-2) and Gresley Rovers (6-1), alongside Trophy wins against Coventry Sphinx (4-0) and Leek Town (4-2). The draw came away to Coleshill Town, as the Reds’ 10 men fought back to snatch a 3-3 draw in Midlands Division action.
Loughborough Dynamo‘s Form:
Since starting the season without a win through five matches, “The Moes” have completely turned things around and gone unbeaten in nine (with the caveat that they lost a penalty shootout in that run).
Dyanmo’s most recent result is perhaps the most impressive of the lot, a 3-1 win at home to league leaders, and previously undefeated, Spalding United last weekend. That was one of four straight wins in the league, including 2-0 away to Sutton Coldfield Town, 4-0 at home to Walsall Wood and 3-0 at home to AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
One to Watch:
We’ve got to mention two this week, as Evan Garnett and Rio Molyneaux are forwards on fire for Loughborough. Both have scored hat-tricks in the past month, Molyneaux in the Walsall Wood win and Garnett in a County Cup victory where Dynamo edged Ashby Ivanhoe on penalties after a 3-3 draw. Garnett has eight goals in the previous five matches.
Tickets:
Available on the gate, £10 for Adults, £8 for Concessions & Free for Under 16s.
