PREVIEW: Long Eaton United (A)

Where:

Grange Park, NG10 2EF

When:

Tuesday 13th of August 2024 (7.45pm KO)

The Reds got off to flyer on Saturday, beating Sutton Coldfield Town 5-1 at Farley Way. The Blues however suffered a 1-0 defeat away to Wellingborough Town.

One to Watch:

Evan Garnett scored 20 goals for Loughborough Dynamo last season, however, with the Moes opting for a four division demotion, Garnett followed former Manager, Brad Munn, to Grange Park.

Last Time:

The two sides last met, way back in December 2021, as Long Eaton United won 2-1 at Grange Park. Bamoussa Cisse was dismissed for the Reds in the 20th minute, and despite Ben Gowing’s goal with six minutes to play, the Blues ran out winners with goals from Jamie Walker and Brad Wilson. Jack Samples is the only player that remains from that Quorn line-up, with United also vastly changes, with just Danny Gordon and James Taylor still at the club.
