When:

The Reds return to The Stotto Stadium, for the first of three straight home games, as they host The Colemen, who currently sit ninth in the table, just six points off the playoffs.

Quorn’s Form:

Beswick’s men blew a 2-0 lead away to cellar-dwelling Grantham Town last time out, conceding twice to suffer their first draw away from home since mid-August. The surprise result snapped an incredible 13 game winning streak in league games away from home. The Reds had won three in a row prior to that, including impressive victories against playoff chasing Corby Town and Sporting Khalsa.

Coleshill Town’s Form:

Town haven’t won on their travels since a creditable 2-0 victory away to playoff chasing Wellingborough Town. That three game stretch does include a valiant fightback from a 2-0 halftime deficit against Darlaston Town for a 2-2 draw, and, combined with a 2-0 win at home to Shepshed Dynamo at the weekend, Coleshill haven’t conceded in a game and a half, whilst scoring four. Overall away from home this season Town have won four, drawn three and lost seven, scoring 18 and conceding 19.

One to Watch:

Alex McSkeane leads the Colemen in goals this season, having notched an impressive 13 in 31 appearances this season. However, since a streak of seven goals in seven games, the forward hasn’t appeared on the scoresheet since a 6-0 win at home to Lye Town on Boxing Day.

Last Time: Coleshill Town 0-3 Quorn (19/10/2024) Northern Premier League Midlands Division

Zak Goodson scored a brace for the Reds and Paddy Webb notched his 79th goal for the club in his 100th appearance as Quorn won 3-0 at Pack Meadow.

The Reds thought they had an early penalty when Goodson was bundled over in the box, but after a discussion with his Assistant, Referee Mark Reilly changed the initial call to a free kick on the edge of the area. It looked as though Coleshill were lucky to escape another penalty as Kobe Hall managed to keep a ball in on the touchline, only for Taylor Carter-Byrne to wrestle him to the ground.

Jack Hallam received a yellow card for a very late challenge on Reece Fyfe as the Referee played an advantage that ended with Cain Noble heading narrowly wide. The deadlock was eventually broken when a Goodson corner was only half cleared, with the forward collecting the ball on the edge of the box, driving towards the touchline and shooting through the legs of Tyrese Warmington to send Quorn in ahead at the break.

Tyrese Warmington was kept busy in the home goal, making saves from Noble and Hall even though Coleshill were enjoying their best spell of the match. Though they had enjoyed an increase in possession at the start of the second half, the Colemen never really forced Tom Allsopp into anything too strenuous in the Quorn goal.

Webb came off the bench in the 66th minute, replacing Jordan Clarke, and it didn’t take long for the prolific striker long to hit the back of the net on his 100th appearance. Webb was the beneficiary of Noble’s typical industry, winning the ball and laying off to the forward as he unleashed a rasping effort from just inside the box.

Coleshill threw men forward in the final fifteen minutes, trying to find a way back into the match, and, despite some decent work around the box, they still never tested Allsopp. Webb launched a counter-attack deep into stoppage time, feeding the excellent Silvio Bello whose ball into the box fell to Courey Grantham, who teed up Goodson to apply the finishing touch on another win.
