SQUAD NEWS: Jordan Clarke Returns to Farley Way

Quorn Football Club are delighted to announce the return of Jordan Clarke.

Clarke’s last appearance for the Reds came in the 5-0 playoff win away to Great Wakering Rovers that secured promotion to step four. Jordan scored the fifth on that memorable late April afternoon in Essex.

Born in Birmingham, and living in Sutton Coldfield, where he works as an, FA Qualified, full time football coach, Jordan spent last season playing closer to home, with spells at Walsall Wood and Sporting Khalsa. The early part of this season was spent with local club Sutton Coldfield Town.

Jordan’s football career kicked off when he was scouted by Birmingham City whilst playing for his local junior side. He would go on to spend several years at St. Andrews, scoring the winner in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup against Sheffield United.

After being released by the Blues, Clarke caught on with Hull City before joining National League side Solihull Moors. After a spell with Boldmere St. Michaels, Jordan arrived for his first stint at Farley Way, making 62 appearances across the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons.

“I decided to return to Quorn because I enjoyed my first spell and the club really helped me in my journey” explained Jordan when asked about coming back to Farley Way. “It’s a passionate and exciting club to play for, and has only gone from strength to strength since my first spell, so I’m really excited to return. We have a strong, talented group of players who can challenge for the league, and I feel this club can help me go far in my career.”

“I think the club is in a good position, in a second season at step four, and we’re going to compete for promotion again. I want to work my way up the leagues and hopefully I can do that here. I just can’t wait to get back out playing again.

Welcome back to Farley Way Jordan.
