COUNTY CUP: Quorn Drawn Away to Hinckley AFC

The draw for the first round of the 2024/25 County Cup has taken place, and the Reds have been handed a trip to face Hinckley AFC. The tie will be played at Barwell’s Kirby Lane ground on Monday the 30th of September, with a 19:45 KO time.

The Cup returned last season, after a three year absence, with Anstey Nomads defeating Loughborough Students in the final at Holmes Park. Those two sides have been handed a bye into the quarter finals. Quorn will play in the competition for the first time in five seasons, after Manager Richard Lavery took the decision to withdraw from the Cup last season due to his small squad being ravaged by injury.

The full draw for the first round is as follows:

·       Melton Town vs Hinckley LR

·       G.N.G. Oadby Town vs Shepshed Dynamo

·       Hinckley AFC vs Quorn

·       Aylestone Park vs Ashby Ivanhoe

·       Leicester Nirvana vs Harborough Town

·       Lutterworth Town vs Barwell

The winners of those six ties will progress to the quarter-finals, where Anstey Nomads and Loughborough Students join the competition.
