SQUAD NEWS: Micah Jebbison Returns to Farley Way
Quorn Football Club are delighted to announce the return of Micah Jebbison. The Canadian forward was last at Farley Way during the 2019/20 covid interrupted season.
Born in Oakville, Ontario, Micah is the middle of three brothers, all of whom attended a UK Football Trial in Birmingham seven years ago. Micah, and younger brother Daniel, were scouted at the event by Sheffield United, and went for further trials with the Blades.
Though Daniel caught on with United, it was Jonathan, that got Micah into the beautiful game. “I got into football when I was four, due to my older brother who was already playing” stated Micah, who would go on to join Rochester FC in USL 2, a semi-pro league in the United States.
Now living in Derbyshire, Micah went on to join Long Eaton United, where he helped ‘The Blues’ to the UCL Premier North Division title. His form at Grange Park earned the winger a move to National League side Altrincham. Further spells followed with Derbyshire side Ilkeston Town, and most recently, the second half of last season, with Carlton Town.
‘The Millers’, who knocked Quorn out of the FA Cup in a replay last season, also finished fifth in their league, losing in the NPL East playoff semi-final. “Losing in the playoffs was a horrible feeling, so I know what the players here went through. As a group we’re all eager to go one step further this season. I’m hoping we can win promotion, it would be a massive achievement for the club.”
Welcome back to Farley Way Micah.
