NEWS: Matt Green Departs Reds

Quorn Football Club can confirm that first team coach Matt Green has left the club. “Greenie” joined the Reds in January 2022, joining Richard Lavery’s coaching staff, having previously worked with Assistant Manager Tom Cherry at Football & Fitness.

Matt was a permanent fixture at Farley Way as the club went on to win promotion through the playoffs the following season. In 2024, in the wake of Lavery and Cherry departing for Kettering Town, Green stepped up as interim Assistant Manager to Ant Carney, helping to guide the club into the playoffs.

Following the departure of Carney at the end of last season, Green stayed on as a coach under Player/Manager Ryan Beswick. Matt leaves The Stotto Stadium with the thanks and gratitude of everyone at the club for his contribution over an historic three-year period. We all wish him the best for the future, he’ll always be welcome at Farley Way.
